Area Information
Mutiny Bay, a new pirate themed land, is set to replace Merrie England for the 2008 season. It will include 2 brand new rides as well as a refurbishment of the Tea Cups. Battle Galleons, a new 'Splash Battle' attraction, will dominate the area with Heave Ho, a smaller 'Rockin' Tug' ride, accompanying it. The Tea Cups will also become Marauders Mayhem, a drunken barrels type ride. The new £6 million investment is set to be open to visitors as soon as Alton Towers re-open their gates in March 2008.
