Resort Security Stepped Up
Over this bank holiday weekend, security across the Alton Towers Resort has been stepped up as hundreds of travellers pay their annual visit. Saturday 7th April 2012 - For many years the travelling community have flocked to Alton Towers over the Easter weekend in large numbers. Unfortunately, there have been numerous cases of disorder in the past, and this year security has been stepped up resort wide to be tougher than ever.

Guests entering the park will have their bags scanned, and bouncers have been hired to guard the entrances to both hotels. On Sunday, the peak of the annual event, the park has taken the decision to cease selling any alcohol in a further ploy to prevent any inappropriate behaviour, as noted at the bottom of their Easter Half-Term page.

Alton Towers will be hoping that these extra measures will ensure a fun, family friendly atmosphere for everyone to enjoy!
