Old Towers Nerd Forum: Points And Inventory?

I looked through my favorites (some four years old) and found Morgan's old AT RCT3 recreation on the old forum. When I glanced over the thread I noticed users had something called Nerd Points and an Inventory. If I clicked the link it just tells me about the new community. Anyway I was just wondering what these two things were.

It was an old "extra", where you earnt points for every time you posted or started a new thread. With those points you could then virtually buy attractions in Alton Towers.
