So, once again, we've failed to live up to expectations, and failed to qualify for a major tournament for the first time in 14 years (World Cup '94), and a European Championship for the first time in 24 years (1984, from what I've heard). What will happen to Steve McClaren? Will he be forced out? Will he resign? Will he stay on amidst heavy opposition from the British public? Only time will tell. :(

Sack McClaren, ban Lampard from ever playing for England again. He's just rubbish for England. He tries none of the tricks or long-range shots which have made Chelsea a good team to watch again. Oh, and hire either O'Neill or Lippi.

Well i suppose i best comment on the pathetic state that is English football. Yes Mclaren was right to be sacked but some of the performances by the players through the campaign have been shocking. On Wednesday i thought Lampard Gerrard and Bridge were pathetic and why the hell Hargreaves wasnt playing i just dont know. Roll on the World Cup!! :D And when its all said and done at least we are English :D :D

i was there, on the front row. I was at the end croatia scored their 3rd- it was heartbreaking to see such a good goal dash our hopes of euro 2008 :(
