Farm Rabbits

Dont know if anybody has being yet but Old macdonalds farm is now home to 6 medium sized bunnies and 4 giant bunnies. The rabbits can be found oposite the tractors and a new viewing area and wooden enclosure can be found next to berry bish bash. If you wish you can even stroke them. All the families were flocking around them today (24th August 2007) and is a great move for Alton Towers. I hope the farm does get more animals as Russell Barnes revealed just a few weeks ago.

I think it's a great move, it's been an instant hit with families with kids. I'm surprised they haven't re-introduced some farm animals before now, it used to be very popular, and still proves to be in other theme parks (even in the form of a zoo!). It'll be interesting to see what "exotic" animals they do bring in next year, they'll be some extraordinary additions I'm sure!

Yes, I noticed the rabbits a few weeks ago. I was quite surprised how hidden they were but there were quite a few families around them.

Like Mark said it's a bit of a suprise that it has taken this long for them to bring back live animals to the farm. Animal attractions always go down a storm with families with young children, I suppose it's been another case of AT tightening their belt and not wanting to spend money on the upkeep of the animals, but at least they are now changing their ways, lets just hope that we'll see more of this type of thing around the rest of the park.

The Rabbits are on loan from a local breader. The farm will be more filled and plesent next season from what staff are currently saying. There may be a home for some rabbits next season too along with other animals.

I love rabbits there soo cute. I have seen them and it definitely is a great move for Alton. It would be nice to see more animals as it would attract more children and become more like a resort.
